Our journey to becoming Baltimore’s leading concrete coating installer

Our story began with a different kind of coating for a different kind of surface. Steve Dodge and our team at ProPaint Systems are well-known for residential and commercial painting services, working in the Baltimore area since 2001.

During that time Steve and his team would occasionally coat concrete floors, but generally shied away from surfaces requiring extensive preparation and specialized performance coatings. Steve understood the complexity of these types of applications and the high risk of failure. If we weren’t 100% confident in the system and the outcome, we wouldn’t offer the service.

In 2018 Steve was introduced to a floor coating product and system from Penntek that not only solved performance concerns, but also allowed for a 1-day installation. Seeing the potential, plus the value for our clients, Steve opened our concrete coating division and became one of only 200 nationally authorized Penntek installers. This was a game changer for us and for our clients. The research, testing, and performance of the Penntek products are second to none.

Fast forward to today, and Platinum Concrete Coatings by ProPaint Systems is Baltimore’s leading provider of performance concrete floor coatings. Residential or commercial, from garage floors to man caves to automotive shops, we’re coating it all. In fact, ​​we have become well-versed in a variety of high performance and decorative coating applications, and offer services above and beyond what many other installers can provide.
